(Previous versions were exclusive to Bedrock Edition)

v1.3.0

 Java Edition Support!

 * Renamed pack from just "Cornbread's Music Fixer" to "Cornbread's Music Fixer (Bedrock Style)"
 * Pack is now compatible with Java Edition!
   * Java Edition support does not change the lengths of the periods of silence between music tracks from vanilla due to limitations in Java Edition.
   * Java Edition support uses Mangrove Swamp music in regular Swamps due to limitations in Java Edition.
   * Java Edition support does not interact the same way with the playsound command as the Bedrock support, due to limitations in Java Edition. Instead of making certain biomes actually use music.game, the Java Edition support instead simply replaces the tracklists of the biomes' respective sound events.
   * One More Day plays on Frozen Peaks in both editions.
   * Creative Mode tracklist is identical to vanilla in both editions (Java Edition plays Survival Mode music as well while Bedrock doesn't).
   * Java Edition support retains the change in music volume this pack brings (that's what makes it "Bedrock Style"). For a version of the pack that has loud music like on vanilla Java Edition, check out the "Java Style".
   * Java Edition support explicitly extends from game versions 1.20.2 to 1.20.4, but the pack is mostly technically compatible with older versions.
   * Menu music breaks when using game versions the pack does not explicitly state it has compatibility with. For this reason, it is recommended you use a pack version made specifically for the game version you are running. Music may also break in snapshots.

v1.3.1

 * Pack now reads as compatible with Java Edition 1.20.5 and 1.20.6.

v1.3.2 - Deep Dark Volume Fix

 * The Planet Minecraft releases are separated by Edition again! This means there are now four concurrent versions of the pack, those being the following: Bedrock Style for Bedrock Edition (Planet Minecraft, MediaFire), Bedrock Style for Java Edition (Planet Minecraft, Modrinth), Java Style for Bedrock Edition (Planet Minecraft, MediaFire), and Java Style for Java Edition (Planet Minecraft, Modrinth).
 * To accommodate this, the changelog has been split. Versions for Bedrock Edition will include the Bedrock changelog and versions for Java Edition will include the Java changelog.
 * Going forward, this also means the different releases of the pack will not share version numbers for minor updates, though I will try to keep them the same for major updates. This is similar to how Mojang handles version numbers between Editions.

 * Lowered the volume of Ancestry from 100% (vanilla) to 20%.
 * The Arboretum in snapshot 24w14potato now plays the correct music. Unfortunately, this means that Flower Forests also play this music in snapshots 24w12a and 24w14potato, due to limitations in Java Edition.

v1.3.3

 * This version is not actually meant to replace the previous. It's numbered that way just to make writing the changelog easier.
 * Readded One More Day, Floating Dream, Left to Bloom, and Comforting Memories to the generic game tracklist (music.game) at 10% volume, because A Familiar Room is really irritating when not playing alongside other modern music. This was already a setting in the Bedrock Edition releases of the pack, but pack settings aren't possible on Java Edition. This also means the Fields and the Wasteland in snapshot 24w14potato now play the correct music.

v1.4.0 - Tricky Trials Update 1

 Bug Fixes

 * Pack now properly replaces vanilla Deep Dark music instead of adding onto it in all game versions (instead of just snapshot 24w14potato).
 * Same for Jungles and Forests in game versions 1.19.X.

 General Changes

 * Support now explicitly extends all the way back to snapshot 23w31a, which was the first to allow for multi-version packs.
 * Support now explicitly extends forward to game version 1.21.
 * Updated Menu Music; removing A Familiar Room, Bromeliad, Crescent Dunes, and Echo in the Wind; and adding Deeper, Eld Unknown, Endless, Featherfall, Puzzlebox, and Watcher at 15% volume; and komorebi, pokopoko, and yakusoku at 30% volume. Intentionally does not apply to game versions from snapshot 23w31a to release 1.20.6. Tracklist will likely be tweaked in a future update.
 * Increased the chances of menu music playing, giving the menu an almost 50-50 chance of playing either a menu track or a Tricky Trials track, slightly in Tricky Trials' favor.
 * Updated generic game tracklist (music.game), adding komorebi and yakusoku at 20% volume; and Featherfall, Puzzlebox, and Watcher at 10% volume. Tracklist will likely be tweaked in a future update.
 * All Forest and Jungle variants now only play the twelve ambient tracks from Volume Alpha instead of all of music.game, even in game versions from before the Tricky Trials music was added.
 * Updated Dripstone Caves tracklist; adding pokopoko at 20% volume with a weight of 2, Eld Unknown and Endless at 10% volume with a weight of 2, and Deeper at 10% volume. Tracklist may be tweaked in a future update.
 * Updated Stony Peaks tracklist; adding Eld Unknown with a weight of 2, and Endless, both at 10% volume. Tracklist may be tweaked in a future update.
 * Updated Jagged Peaks tracklist, adding pokopoko at 20% volume and Eld Unknown and Endless at 10% volume. Tracklist may be tweaked in a future update.
 * Updated Snowy Slopes tracklist, adding pokopoko at 20% volume.
 * Updated Grove tracklist, adding pokopoko at 20% volume and Eld Unknown and Endless at 10% volume. Tracklist may be tweaked in a future update.
 * Updated / reverted Lush Caves tracklist; adding Echo in the Wind and Featherfall with a weight of 2; and Aerie, Firebugs, and Labyrinthine; all at 10% volume. Intentionally does not apply to game versions from snapshot 23w31a to release 1.20.6, even though all but Featherfall exist in those versions. Tracklist will likely be tweaked in a future update.
 * Updated Deep Dark tracklist, adding Deeper at 10% volume. Tracklist will likely be tweaked in a future update.
 * Updated Cherry Grove tracklist, adding Featherfall at 10% volume and with a weight of 3. Weights may be tweaked in a future update.
 * Updated Badlands tracklist, adding Featherfall at 10% volume.

 Technical Changes

 * Rubedo no longer explicitly has a weight of 1 in music.nether.nether_wastes since weight defaults to 1 if left undefined.
 * Slashed weights of Lush Caves music in half in game versions from snapshot 23w31a to release 1.20.6, since the pack prevents swamp music from playing there in those versions.
 * Snapshots from 23w31a (1.20.2 snapshot) to 24w11a (1.20.5 snapshot) now use the 'pretato' overlay.
 * Game versions from snapshot 24w13a to release 1.20.6 now use the 'posttato' overlay. It is identical to 'pretato', but references to the 'generic' filenames (calm1, piano3, nuance2, etc.) have been removed.
 * Added custom sound event cb_music.game_volume_alpha for parenting off of. It contains only the twelve ambient tracks from Volume Alpha.
 * Changelog entry for pack version 1.3.3 now describes A Familiar Room as 'really irritating' instead of 'realy irritating'.
 * 'Accommodate' in changelog entry for pack version 1.3.2 is now correctly spelled with two 'm's.

v1.4.1 - Volume Tweak 3 and Creative Fix

 * Lowered the volumes of komorebi and yakusoku from 20% to 15% in the generic game event (music.game).
 * Lowered the volume of pokopoko from 20% to 15% in all biomes in which it plays.
 * Lowered the volumes of komorebi, yakusoku, and pokopoko from 30% to 25% on the menu.
 * Lowered the volume of Floating Dream from 20% to 10% in Lush Caves for consistency with other biomes.
 * Lowered the volume of An Ordinary Day from 20% to 10% in Lush and Dripstone Caves for consistency with Snowy Slopes and the rest of the Caves and Cliffs soundtrack.
 * All Music Discs now play at half volume like on Bedrock Edition.
 * Instead of playing all music from the generic tracklist on top of its own, Creative Mode now only plays the 12 ambient Volume Alpha tracks (as well as the 6 Creative Mode tracks), similar to how it did before the Caves and Cliffs update.
 * Increased the chances of Creative Mode music playing, giving Creative Mode a 50-50 chance of playing either a Creative Mode track or a Volume Alpha track.

v1.5.0 - Tricky Trials Update 2

 * Pack now reads as compatible with game versions from 1.21.2 to 1.21.4.
 * Lowered the volumes of komorebi and yakusoku from 15% to 10% in game.
    * pokopoko intentionally remains at 15% volume.
 * Lowered the volumes of komorebi, yakusoku, and pokopoko from 25% to 20% on the menu.
 * Finally got less mad at vanilla's Jungle music and restored it (only applies post-1.20).
 * Increased weight of Rubedo in the Nether Wastes from 1 to 2.
 * Due to the length and grandiosity of the Tricky Trials OST, all non-C418 music has been made less common in the generic "game" context (only applies post-1.21).
 * Removed Puzzlebox from the generic "game" context and moved it to Dripstone Caves, Groves, Jagged Peaks, and Stony Peaks.
    * These biomes were chosen since they already play Eld Unknown, which is very tonally and stylistically similar.
 * Old Growth Taigas no longer play the same music as the generic "game" context. Rather, their track list been reverted to how it is in vanilla, but with the swamp music removed.
 * Eld Unknown is now properly streamed on Stony Peaks (Mojang oversight that i missed before).

v1.6.0 - Chase the Skies Update

 General Changes and Bug Fixes

 * Pack now reads as compatible with game versions from 1.21.5 to 1.21.8.
 * C418's music no longer mistakenly has a weight of 2 in old growth taigas in certain game versions.

Game Versions From Snapshot 25w20a (1.21.6 snapshot post-soundtrack) to Present

 * Updated Menu Music to match vanilla; removing Deeper, Eld Unknown, Endless, Featherfall, Puzzlebox, Watcher, komorebi, pokopoko, and yakusoku; and adding Below and Above, Broken Clocks, Fireflies, Lilypad, and O's Piano at 15% volume.
    * C418's dedicated menu tracks intentionally still have a weight of 2.
 * Added Below and Above to Cherry Groves, Fireflies to Deserts, O's Piano to Lush Caves, and Lilypad to Groves; all at 10% volume and with a weight of 2.
 * Added Lilypad to Frozen Peaks at 10% volume.
 * Updated / reverted Forest track list to that of vanilla; adding One More Day, Floating Dream, Left to Bloom, Comforting Memories, Aerie, Firebugs, Labyrinthine, and Bromeliad; and Broken Clocks with a weight of 2; all at 10% volume.
    * Will likely be tweaked in the future.
 * Reverted Flower Forest track list to match vanilla.
 * The generic "game" track list is intentionally not updated.
 * Lowered the volumes of Music Discs Tears and (gags) Lava Chicken from 100% (vanilla) to 50%.

 Technical Changes

 * Game versions from snapshot 24w18a (1.21 snapshot) to 25w19a (1.21.6 snapshot pre-soundtrack) now use the 'tricky_trials' overlay. It is identical to the previous iteration of the base pack (save for the changes below), but references to the 'generic' filenames (calm1, piano3, nuance2, etc.) have been removed.
 * All references to the entirety of Volume Alpha now use an event-type sound (cb_music.game_volume_alpha) instead of listing every track individually.
    * Does not apply to music.game in game versions 1.21 and newer. The way event-type sounds interact with the weight field is unclear on the wiki.
 * All references to the three swamp tracks now use an event-type sound (music.overworld.swamp) instead of listing each track individually.

v1.6.0.1

 * Pack now reads as compatible with game versions from 1.21.9 to 1.21.11.

v1.7.0 - Chaos Cubed Update

 General Changes

 * Pack now reads as compatible with game versions from 26.1 to 26.2.

    Game Versions 26.2+

    * Updated Menu Music. New tracks play at 10% volume, all tracks have the same weight.
    * Updated existing biome track lists. New music all plays at 10% volume and almost always with a weight of 2.
    * Added Shores and Ebb to Swamps and Mangrove Swamps, both at 10% volume.
    * Reverted the track list for Old Growth Taigas. It now contains swamp music again.
    * Tweaked the volumes of Sulfur Cave music to match the rest of the pack.

    * As of vanilla 26.2, all overworld biome music has had its weighting standardized to prioritize the new tracks (example: all existing tracks in Dripstone Caves now have a weight of 1, where the new tracks have a weight of 2). This change has NOT been reflected in the pack, as it would make certain tracks (example: Stand Tall, which only plays in mountain biomes) far too rare. Instead, existing weighting has been preserved.
    * The generic game track list has also NOT been changed. It continues to not include any tracks from Chase the Skies or Chaos Cubed.

 Technical Changes

 * Downscaled pack icon to 256x from 720x.
 * Game versions from snapshot 25w20a (1.21.6 snapshot) to 26.2 Snapshot 6 now use the 'chase_the_skies' overlay. It is identical to the previous iteration of the base pack (save for the change below), but references to the 'generic' filenames (calm1, piano3, nuance2, etc.) have been removed.
 * All references to the four C418 Nether tracks now use an event-type sound (cb_music.game.nether) instead of listing each track individually.
 * In the base pack, event-type sound music.overworld.swamp has been changed to cb_music.overworld.swamp due to the former event now containing more than the three swamp tracks.
