VERSION HISTORY / FEATURES
--------------------------
EVEREGREEN 64x UPDATE (1.0.0)
Keeps the supplied world, block, item and GUI art as the visual master while
restoring the world-derived Evergreen palettes and surface detail for every
living mob. Non-mob entity objects retain their correct atlas artwork.

Restores slow interpolated motion for leaves, grass, ferns, vines and roots,
plus the corrected water, lava, fire, campfire, lantern, sculk, command-block
and other animation strips. Rain and snow use the refined engine-driven art.

COMPLETE MOB / ENTITY REBUILD (1.0.0)
Visually audited and rebuilt all 578 entity textures at true 4x resolution.
Every atlas now uses the correct UV layout, normal mob colours and subtle
32x geometric facet shading instead of unrelated template colours.

Alpha masks now preserve every intended body pixel while keeping legitimate
transparency for eyes, wings, glow layers, markings and translucent effects.
Transparent edges also include hidden RGB padding to stop mipmaps from
creating gaps or dark seams at a distance.

Corrected the canvas dimensions for temperate cows, temperate pigs and
endermen. These files previously used the wrong proportions, which could
make model sections appear missing, stretched or misaligned.

ALL MOBS + FULL BLOCK COVERAGE
Every vanilla entity texture path from 1.21.8 is present (creatures, bosses,
boats, minecarts, banners, etc.), rebuilt at 2x with exact atlas dimensions,
intentional alpha and normal colour identity.

Every missing block texture from the same version is filled too (bamboo set,
nests, rails, stems, newer wood, etc.) via name-aware patterns (leaves,
  planks, logs, ores, wool, cutouts).

MORE CTM & GUI
Connected textures beyond clear glass: bookshelves (horizontal), ice /
packed ice (full 47-tile CTM), and all 16 stained-glass colours
(compact 5-tile sets for the panes and blocks).

Extra container GUIs at 4x vanilla size: crafting table, furnace, blast
furnace, smoker, hopper, double chest, dispenser, dropper, brewing stand,
anvil, enchanting table, shulker box, plus widget button sprites. The dark
  GUI add-on darkens these too.

MULTI-VERSION PACK FORMATS (7 through 88)
pack.mcmeta now declares support for every release from 1.17 to 26.2+ using
the modern min_format / max_format fields AND the older supported_formats
field (required so 1.20.2-1.21.8 still understand the range).

  Honest compatibility:
1.20.2 and newer - clean support via supported_formats / overlays
1.17 through 1.20.1 - loads with an "incompatible" click-through warning
(those versions only read pack_format and ignore
overlays). Block, item, entity and HUD textures still
apply because dual-path assets sit in the base tree:
                          grass.png + short_grass.png, gui/icons.png + the
                          modern sprites/hud tree, cow.png + temperate_cow.png.

  Overlay directories (ov_legacy_gui, ov_pre_short_grass, ov_cow_variants) cover
the same renames for clients that do understand overlays.

ALSO INCLUDED
-------------
1. BORDERLESS CONNECTED GLASS (OptiFine / Iris / Continuity)
A full 47-tile CTM set for glass and glass panes. Build a window of any
shape and the interior seams disappear - you get one clean frame around the
outside, correct frames around any holes, and proper inner-corner pieces
where the wall turns. The whole feature costs 8.7 KB.

The tile table was transcribed from OptiFine's own selection routine and is
regression-tested: the build runs a sample wall through a re-implementation
of that routine and asserts every connected edge is seamless and every
exposed edge is framed (96 checks, all passing).

2. MOBS - COMPLETE
All 578 entity textures use their correct 2x UV maps and recognisable normal
palettes with subtle geometric 64x shading. This covers every creature,
variant, boss, overlay, saddle, harness, boat and other entity atlas.

The warden base is deliberately unlit - vanilla draws its glowing chest and
head markings from separate overlay textures that still render on top, so
the glow stays intact and stays correctly aligned.

3. DARK GUI ADD-ON
Inventory panel, slot wells, hotbar and bar backings remapped into a genuine
dark band, with the light/dark relationships preserved so slot wells still
read as recessed and bevels still catch an edge. Hearts, food, armour, XP
and the crosshair are deliberately left alone so they pop against it.

4. COLOURBLIND ADD-ON, REBUILT
Now shifts hues as well as adding shape patterns. The palette was chosen by
a solver that maximises the worst-case separation between any two dyes after
a deuteranopia simulation, subject to each colour staying recognisably itself
   in normal vision.

     worst-case pair, 16 dyes : dE  3.8  ->  28.5
     worst-case pair, 8 ores  : dE 15.1  ->  47.6

Red stays red and blue stays blue; the solver separates the hard pairs using
lightness and chroma instead of pushing everything toward magenta.

5. ADD-ON LOAD ORDER
Minecraft loads the Selected list bottom-up, so the TOP pack wins. Both
add-ons must sit ABOVE the base pack.

ALSO
----
Random block variants for stone, cobblestone, dirt, sand, gravel, netherrack,
  end_stone, andesite, diorite, granite and cobbled_deepslate - 4 variants x 4
rotations each, wired through real blockstate/model JSON, so large surfaces
stop showing an obvious repeating grid.

Emissive maps for torches, lava, magma, ore crystals, sea lanterns,
glowstone, froglights, furnace fronts, portals, sculk and amethyst.

Copper oxidation chain, polished/chiselled stone families, deepslate bricks
and tiles, quartz and purpur sets, sandstone variants, doors and trapdoors
for all 8 woods plus iron, stripped logs, crimson/warped nether woods,
amethyst geodes, moss, mud, sculk blocks, 60+ plants and crops, redstone
  components, and ~30 workstation blocks.

319 item icons including all 16 dyes, tools and armour in 6 materials, and
the full per-angle compass_00-31 and clock_00-63 frame sets.

ANYTHING NOT COVERED
--------------------
Most mobs, banners and armour trims are not overridden, so Minecraft falls back
to its own defaults there. Safe to run from 1.17 upward; see VERSION notes above
for the pre-1.20.2 warning.

INSTALL
-------
1. Do NOT unzip EverGreen_64x.zip.
2. Place it in your resourcepacks folder:
     Windows: %appdata%/.minecraft/resourcepacks
     macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/resourcepacks
     Linux: ~/.minecraft/resourcepacks
3. Options -> Resource Packs -> move "EverGreen 64x" to Selected.

ADD-ONS (optional)
------------------
Both add-ons only contain the files they actually change; everything else falls
through to the base pack.

  evergreen_64x_dark_gui.zip darker interface chrome
  evergreen_64x_colorblind.zip deuteranopia-safe hues + shape patterns

Drop either into the same resourcepacks folder, enable it, and move it ABOVE
"EverGreen 64x" in the Selected list. The topmost pack wins on any file two
packs share, so an add-on placed below the base pack will have no effect.

You can enable both at once - they touch different files.

WHY ARE THESE SEPARATE ZIPS?
----------------------------
Java Edition has no player-selectable sub-packs. The "subpacks" block belongs to
Bedrock's manifest.json, and Java's "overlays" block switches on pack_format
rather than on player choice, so it cannot drive an in-game toggle. Stacked
add-on packs are the only way to offer this as an option in Java, and they have
the side benefit of keeping the base download smaller.

CONNECTED GLASS REQUIREMENTS
----------------------------
The CTM tiles live in assets/minecraft/optifine/ctm/glass/ and need OptiFine,
Iris, or the Continuity mod. Without one of those the files are simply ignored
and glass falls back to the normal 32x texture - nothing breaks.

PERFORMANCE
-----------
Block and item textures are 32x32 (or 32xN animation strips). GUI sprites use
2x vanilla dimensions; the widgets atlas is 512x512, within the 512px cap.
Total pack size is about 0.9 MB.
