QuickStackCraft Source Available License
Version 1.0

Copyright (c) 2026 ZeroTheAbsolute. All rights reserved.

This is a proprietary source-available license. It is not an open-source
license.

1. Definitions

"Software" means the QuickStack & Craft source code, documentation, original
assets, and compiled files distributed with this license.

"Licensor" means ZeroTheAbsolute.

"Official Release" means an unmodified compiled release published by the
Licensor through an account or project page controlled by the Licensor.

"Official Distribution Channel" means a CurseForge, Modrinth, GitHub, or other
distribution account or project page controlled by the Licensor.

"Fork" means any repository, project, build, or other work that copies or is
derived from any copyrightable portion of the Software. Independent software
that does not copy or adapt a copyrightable portion of the Software is not a
Fork.

"Public Distribution" means making source code, compiled files, or other copies
available to any third party, whether publicly or to a limited group, by any
method. This includes publishing, sharing, selling, sublicensing, hosting,
mirroring, reuploading, or operating a public project page or repository.

"Written Authorization" means explicit written permission issued by the
Licensor through a communication channel publicly identified with the Licensor.
The permission must identify the authorized person or organization and the
specific repository, project, distribution, or use being authorized.

"Authorized Fork" means a Fork expressly permitted by Written Authorization.

2. Limited Permission

Subject to every term of this license, the Licensor grants you a limited,
non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:

a. Download, install, and use Official Releases for personal play and on
   multiplayer servers.

b. Make reasonable backup copies of Official Releases for your own use.

c. Privately download or clone the source code and read it for security review,
compatibility research, contribution preparation, or personal learning.

d. Make and use private local modifications for your own personal use, provided
that neither the modifications nor resulting builds are shared, published,
distributed, or made available to any third party.

No other permission is granted except through Written Authorization.

3. Modpacks

A modpack may include QuickStack & Craft only by referencing or depending on an
Official Release through an Official Distribution Channel. A modpack may not
bundle, rehost, mirror, or redistribute an Official Release or a modified build
without Written Authorization.

4. Forks and Redistribution

You may not create, maintain, or make available a public Fork, or make any
Public Distribution of the Software, without Written Authorization. This
restriction includes, without limitation:

a. Public or shared source-code forks and repositories.

b. Modified or unmodified compiled builds.

c. Competing or replacement mod pages and projects.

d. Mirrors, archives, reuploads, and alternate download links.

e. Sale, sublicensing, commercial distribution, or distribution bundled with a
   paid product or service.

Attribution, source availability, submitting or accepting a Contribution,
merely opening or participating in a pull request or issue, a general invitation
to collaborate, prior dealings, silence, or delayed enforcement does not
constitute Written Authorization.

Written Authorization is limited to the person or organization, Fork, versions,
distribution channels, purposes, duration, and other conditions it expressly
identifies. It is non-transferable and does not permit sublicensing or further
forks unless it explicitly says otherwise. Authorization for one version does
not authorize use of later versions.

Unless Written Authorization says otherwise, an Authorized Fork must:

a. Preserve all copyright, license, attribution, and provenance notices.

b. Clearly identify itself as unofficial and state that it is not endorsed by
   or affiliated with the Licensor.

c. Prominently describe its modifications.

d. Use a distinct project name, icon, branding, and project page.

e. Comply with this license and every condition in its Written Authorization.

5. Hosting Platform Rights

A hosting platform may grant its users limited rights directly under that
platform's mandatory terms. Any such rights are separate from this license and
are limited to the platform and scope stated in those terms. They do not grant
permission to publish releases, distribute builds, create third-party mod pages,
rehost the Software, sublicense it, or use the Licensor's branding. Nothing in
this license expands any right granted directly by a hosting platform.

6. Ownership and Branding

The Software is licensed, not sold. The Licensor and applicable contributors
retain their respective ownership and intellectual-property rights. All rights
not expressly granted are reserved.

No trademark or branding rights are granted. The names "QuickStack & Craft" and
"QuickStackCraft," the project logos, icons, and other identifying branding may
be used only to truthfully refer to an Official Release, unless Written
Authorization expressly permits another use.

7. Contributions

"Contribution" means code, documentation, artwork, or other material
intentionally submitted to the official project for possible inclusion.

By submitting a Contribution, you represent that you have the right to grant
the permissions in this section. You retain copyright in your original
Contribution, but grant the Licensor a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive,
royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute,
publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and relicense the Contribution
as part of or in connection with QuickStack & Craft.

Submitting a Contribution does not authorize you to create or distribute a Fork.

8. Termination

Any permission granted to you under this license terminates automatically if
you violate its terms. After termination, you must stop using and distributing
the Software and delete every copy in your possession or control, except copies
you are legally required to retain. The Licensor may reinstate permission only
in writing.

Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU ACCEPT ALL RISK ARISING FROM USE OF THE
SOFTWARE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY
DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHER
DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS LICENSE, EVEN IF ADVISED
OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Scope and Earlier Versions

This license applies only to a version or copy of the Software that includes
this license text. An earlier version remains governed by the license that
accompanied that earlier version. Nothing in this license revokes permissions
validly granted for an earlier version.

Third-party components and materials identified by their own copyright or
license notices remain governed by those notices. This license does not grant
rights in third-party material.

If any provision of this license is held unenforceable, that provision will be
enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will
continue in effect.
