hello.

this is my team selection datapack. i made it so that players could choose their own teams, on their own, without moderator intervention. i made it with the help of chatgpt and datapack discord servers.

to use this pack, after '/reload'ing it, you can '/trigger n_reset_team' to start over or '/trigger n_select_(team)' to choose between PVE, PVP, and Streamer. this way, people can be aware when someone else is recording and choose to avoid them or not.

/trigger n_reset_team
/trigger n_select_pve
/trigger n_select_pvp
/trigger n_select_streamer

you can enable the items in 'team_prompt' by uncommenting them. this is an alternate method for team selection if someone can not click the text prompt or type a trigger.

you can uninstall the scoreboards by running the uninstall function.

/function nazars_teamwork:uninstall

as of writing this, only the 1.21 version of this pack exists. i plan to backport it.
now that i've gotten this one to work, i am going to make new packs. i feel the easiest to come out next are a colour name pack, a ranks pack, and a fantasy species pack.

none of these packs will be compatible with each other because they use teams, but hopefully one will be the best for you. on that note, this pack will conflict with any other team packs like this or that. please do not install them together.

i am allowing the non-commercial, personal use of this datapack.
you are not allowed to sell this pack.
you are not allowed to call this pack yours.
i would prefer you didn't distribute the pack, because then people won't know what you've changed about it when they can download it directly from me. but you are allowed to 'share' it, as in, when you and your friends are setting up a server, and the person who owns the server is not the one with a copy of the pack.
you are allowed to make personal changes to your own pack. as in, if you wanted to enable the items, or add a new team, or remove one.
you are allowed to reference this pack for code, as there is only ever really one best way to do a given thing in code and it's nice to know what those ways are. it's not like drawing where there are as many ways to draw an apple as there are people, where tracing is discouraged. it's more like mechanics or engineering where you're not 'copying' a bridge by making one that doesn't fall down.
if you use this pack, thank you. i made it to be used.
if you use this pack to make money, fuck you.
if you feed this pack to an ai, i will feed you to a wood chipper.
you're allowed to use this pack on your streams as long as you credit where it came from.
